Artist Joan Lawson is a 58-year P.E.O. member initiated into Chapter DT, Sapulpa, OK in 1948. Joan and her husband currently reside in Nacogdoches and she is a member of Chapter BO, Tyler.

Of all the art mediums she has worked in, oil painting remains her love. Her favorite subjects are Texas landscapes. This 30 x 40 oil painting depicts the famous bluebonnets in the Texas hill country.
